ABOUT THE S.O. WHAT! FOUNDATION

The S.O. What! Foundation’s mission is to help youth and young adults overcome obstacles and eliminate excuses hindering individual and family success.

The S.O. What! Foundation was founded in January 2012 to further the efforts of its founder, Summer Owens, with her business, S.O. What! LLC to address the negative attitudes, lack of motivation, and hopelessness, and challenging life situations of youth in her community.

We provide leadership, literacy, life skills, and character education training for youth ages 13-23 with programs focused on:

·       Academic Achievement

·       Personal Development

·       Challenge Management

Students learn to embrace the “S.O. What!” and “S.O. NOW What?” attitude to address the challenges in their lives and take steps to improve their situations and their futures. Through workshops, retreats, and experiential learning opportunities, The S.O. What! Foundation helps youth love themselves and live their best lives.

Our Mission

To help youth and young adults overcome obstacles and
eliminate excuses hindering individual and family success.

Our Vision

To build a community where youth and young adults will
dream and learn to make their dreams reality no matter
what obstacles they face.

Our Core Beliefs

Life is full challenges. Some challenges we born into and others are consequences of our own decisions.

We all have choices and can overcome any of life’s challenges with the right attitude and support.
