Meet The S.O. What!
Advisors and Ambassadors

Ambassador
Sydney
I am a s.o. what ambassador because when I first heard Ms. Summer’s story, I got the courage to say “So What” to my situation. I’ve learned that a season in your life does not define who you are as a person and what you accomplish. The S.O. What! Foundation helped me see that I am able to reach my full potential even if life was hard for me. With these new found skills, I will be able to lead others through their hardships.

I became a part of the S.O What! Ambassador Program to become the type of leader who is confident in their ideas and abilities. I joined to also pass this knowledge on to others who aren’t as fortunate to have this opportunity. I've learned how to be open minded, respect all backgrounds, and practice how to use those skills in a leadership position. I am very thankful for the S.O What! Program helping me grow as a person and learn new aspects of being a leader.

To be honest, I didn’t think much of S.O. What! when I joined. I didn’t think much of it. However, I am glad I misunderstood this organization entirely. When I saw what this organization did for people and how they bring awareness to programs and opportunites, I was hooked instantly. I’ve met so many good people and have gotten even more familiar with Memphis. I have made bonds with people I wouldn’t think I would even talk to. I am glad to have been chosen as a S.O. What! Ambassador and glad to have wonderful people with me.

I became a So What! Ambassador because I wanted to help make my community a better place. Through the program, I not only found new ways to become a stronger leader, but I also gained a new perspective on how to put those ideas into action. This experience taught me how to take what I learned and share it with other people as well.

I became a S.O What ambassador because I wanted to be a role model for others. Being an ambassador has helped to grow and blossom into a more mature and open minded individual. When I first joined I didn’t think it would have much of an impact on my life, but it shaped me into a more confident leader. I have learned that what you go through doesn’t determine your future. With Summers help I have started to say “so what” to negativity and focus on the positive solution.

I joined the S.O. What! Ambassador Program to grow into the kind of leader who leads with both purpose and an open mind. I want to learn the right ways to lead—by listening, understanding, and using my voice to uplift others. Music is my passion, and I plan to attend college to major in music engineering. Through this program, I’m gaining the leadership skills, confidence, and life experience that will help me not only succeed in my career but also use my gifts to inspire and connect with people everywhere I go.

I was part of the first group when the S.O. What! Program launched at my school, and I was truly inspired by Ms. Owens. Now, I’m excited for the opportunity to work with her and continue growing through this program. I’m a people person and love great conversations—even if I can be a little awkward at first. My biggest personal goal is to confidently connect with people I’ve never met. I believe this program will help me build the leadership and social skills I need to do just that, while empowering others through my own growth.

I consider myself a leader, and whenever I see a chance to stand out and support others, I take it. I’ve been running track for the past three years, which has taught me discipline, perseverance, and the power of pushing through challenges.
My dream is to become a lawyer, and I believe this program will give me the tools, exposure, and confidence to pursue that path. Being part of the S.O. What! Ambassador Program will add to what I already know and give me meaningful experiences that will help shape my future and strengthen my voice as a leader.

I want to be a S.O. What! Ambassador because I have a passion for helping others along their journey—just like I’m working on mine. I love animals and dream of becoming a veterinarian, and I know that starts with developing strong leadership, compassion, and communication skills. This program gives me the tools to grow personally and professionally while making a difference in my community. I’m excited to inspire others, build confidence, and take steps toward a future where I can care for animals and people alike.

I joined the S.O. What! Ambassador Program to step out of my comfort zone and grow beyond my shyness. I want to become someone who not only finds their voice—but uses it to help others find theirs too. I’m passionate about art, makeup, and crocheting—I love creating things with my hands and expressing myself through creativity. But even more than that, I care deeply about helping people, especially those facing mental health challenges. This program is helping me build the confidence and leadership skills I need to make a real difference in the lives of others.
